Family Friendly Activities in Columbus, OH

Time is precious and being able to spend it with your family is a blessing. If you’re looking for some places to visit that everyone will enjoy together, then you’re in luck! Enjoy this list of some of our favorite family-friendly activities in Columbus, Ohio.

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium 

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium has different events year-round, which you can find online several months in advance. There are some incredible animals housed here such as African lions, Asian elephants, and brown bears, to name a few! They also have sea animals in their aquarium such as cownose stingrays, orbicular batfish, and bonnethead sharks! The Columbus Zoo is located at 4850 West Powell Road and is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. 

LEGOLand Discovery Center

Fairly new to the area is the LEGOLand Discovery Center. You and the kids can spend the entire day playing and building, crafting memories that’ll last forever! There are 10 different themed zones inside such as the LEGO 4D Cinema, Creative Workshop, and the LEGO Friends area. Girls and boys from young to old will all enjoy their time here. They also host events throughout the year for holidays and have the Trolls World Tour event coming up in March and April. LEGOLand is located at 157 Easton Town Center and is open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.

Rockin’ Jump

The ultimate airpark, Rockin’ Jump, is another family-friendly activity. This is the perfect place to show off how much fun you really are and to let the kids burn off some energy! There are different areas inside such as the Jump Arena, the main jumping area where you can do some acrobatics. You’ll also find the Dodgeball Arena, Slam Dunk Zone, a rock climbing wall, and the challenging ninja course! Rockin’ Jump is located at 1220 County Line Rd. in Westerville.

Center of Science and Industry 

For a family day filled with fun and learning then you have to check out the Center of Science and Industry! They have exhibits ranging from dinosaurs and space to the ocean and evolution of life – you can explore the Big Science Park and the Energy Explorers Center. This is a great spot to check out if you have kids of different ages since they’ll all be able to explore and enjoy their day. There is even the Little KidSpace for your toddlers so they can run and play as well! You can find the COSI at 333 W. Broad St.

Zoombezi Bay

During the summer months, Zoombezi Bay is a great place to spend a day with the family. This water park has something for everyone and fun for people of every age! The attractions include CrocTail Creek, the Cyclone, the Wild Tides Wave Pool, and Tiny Tides. Zoombezi Bay is located at 10101 Riverside Dr. in Powell.
