Trim Levels
The 2020 Toyota Yaris comes in L, LE, and XLE trims. At the LE trim level, the 2020 Yaris comes with an appealing front fascia, 15-inch wheels, halogen headlights, and a chrome tipped exhaust. This four-door sedan features power door mirrors standard. The LE trim gets a rear lip spoiler, turn signal equipped mirrors, and power remote heated manual folding side-view door mirrors. Rain-sensing wipers are standard only on the XLE trim.
Engine
All three of the trims on the 2020 Toyota Yaris are powered by a 1.5-liter inline-four regular gas engine generating 106 horsepower and 103 pound-feet of torque. Inline engines are superior to their V-type cousins in that they produce a smoother ride and have a higher top end or redline speed. The inline engine also delivers more torque than the otherwise identical V-type engines. The two lower trims come with a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive capability and can be upgraded for auto-manual capacity. The XLE trim comes with a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and auto-manual capabilities standard.
Performance
With rear coil springs, semi-independent rear torsion beam suspension, speed-sensing steering, and an independent front strut suspension with anti-roll bar, the 2020 Yaris is very stable for a subcompact car. It has a compact body profile, so it is ideal for driving through crowded city streets and parking in narrow, otherwise hard to enter spaces.
Interior
Interior features on the L trim include a proximity key, two USB ports with an option for four, remote keyless entry, one-touch down windows, a full floor console with a cargo box, a retained accessory power system, illuminated side visor mirrors, cruise control, and a telescoping steering wheel. The XLE gains a mechanical fuel remote release and steering wheel controls for the cruise control system. Chrome metal-look interior accents are standard inside all trims. Cloth upholstery is standard on all three trim levels as well.
The Yaris' entertainment features include a first-row LCD monitor, SiriusXM satellite radio, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, voice-activated radio, speed-sensitive volume, and an integrated roof antenna for stronger signal pickup. This sedan comes with a six-speaker audio system at all trim levels, so you can rock out during your commute!
Safety Features
For 2020, the Yaris features many safety and security systems, including remote activated perimeter approach lighting, electronic stability controls, a forward pre-collision system with emergency braking, traction control, a standard first aid kit, a panic alarm, occupant sensing airbags in front, an engine immobilizer, child safety locks, and an array of airbags throughout the cabin. They include first- and second-row overhead, dual front side, dual front impact, and seat-mounted driver and passenger side-impact airbags.
