2016 Toyota Camry vs 2015 Toyota Camry: What’s New at Toyota Direct

One of the most popular models we have had here at Toyota Direct over the years would have to be the Toyota Camry. This Toyota car was overhauled in 2015, but the 2016 model is now available here at our Toyota dealership as well. Our dealership is so proud to be able to sell both of these models to our loyal customers because we love to show them off. We even have a selection of pre-owned Toyota Camry cars to choose from. In case you are not sure which model year you will love better, let us tell you a little more about it.

2015 Toyota Camry: This model year of the car had an overhaul that included new exterior styling, revised interior with more equipment, and improved handling. This midsize sedan comes in four trim levels: LE, SE, XSE, and XLE. The standard engine for all trim levels is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 178 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. An option for the XSE and XLE is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers 268 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. Features on the LE include items like a 6.1-inch Entune touchscreen electronics interface, and the SE brings on items like simulated leather upholstery. The XSE brings it up a notch with heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. Finally, the XLE brings on full leather upholstery and 17-inc alloy wheels. There are also many optional features that can be added onto some of the trim levels, like a sunroof and a noise-reducing windshield.

2016 Toyota Camry: Since the 2015 model year was overhauled, there were not many major changes on the 2016 model year. For this model year, though, there is a Special Edition model added on. This trim level is based off the SE, and it includes items like blue interior accents, smoked taillights, and a sportier gauge cluster. It also has 18-inch machined finish alloy wheels and comes standard with Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging. Among the other items on this model year would be the plethora of safety features. Some of the available advanced features include lane-departure warning, collision mitigation and Safety Connect, which brings on automatic collision notification, a stolen-vehicle locator and an emergency assist button. These features, like all the other features, will depend on the trim level you choose.

Whether you want the 2015 model or 2016, we are happy to show off both at our Columbus Toyota dealership. Our team will gladly help you find out which model is best for you and tell you all about why the Toyota Camry is so popular in Columbus, OH.
